As I write the cake is in the oven in an 8 inch pan. I didn't remember I got rid of my really old 9 inch cake pans. I hope the cake turns out OK and doesn't decorate the bottom of my oven. But the batter tastes yummy and this is exactly what my husband wanted for his birthday tomorrow!
