Hi Grace, a light coating of baking spray or oil in the bowl shouldn't cause any shaping difficulties. Generally you'll need to use some flour on the table when dividing, preshaping and shaping baguettes, although you do want to reserve a dry spot to roll out the baguettes. I find this video really helpful when it comes to shaping baguettes.
