I adore these rolls. I have been searching for a good roll recipe forever and these are the only ones that have met my expectations. Most of the time, I make some modifications because I've also been searching for the Rhodes MultiGrain rolls in stores for years since my father-in-law made them for Thanksgiving in 2009, but I think they're only available through food service (he works with Sysco). I finally decided that the only way I was going to get them was to make them myself. This recipe works perfectly for that. I just substitute 2.5 cups whole wheat flour for the same amount of all-purpose flour and add a couple tablespoons each of millet, sunflower seeds and flax seeds. They turn out AMAZING every single time and I'm pretty sure they're even better than the Rhodes rolls (though that might be the anxiety, sweat, and tears that when into figuring out how to duplicate them). I've made them following the recipe exactly and with my modifications and, no matter what, they turn out fantastic every single time.
