Regarding making the puree --
why not just bake the whole pumpkin (after puncturing it), rather than going through the
arduous step of trying to cut the thing in half then pulling seeds out
of the raw pumpkin? I have been doing this simpler way forever and it lands out great.
I bake other squashes this way too. Is there something wrong with this method?
