This is a wonderful recipe. So sorry that it has not worked out for you. I think the issue might be too much flour. How do you measure your flour? By weight or volume? There is a video on our website that shows the KAF method of measuring a cup of flour using the "fluff, sprinkle, level method". Also, we always recommend using instant or active dry yeast. Rapid rise yeast only allows your bread to rise once and then there is not enough yeast for the second or oven rise. I recommend watching the video and trying again. Happy baking!JoAnn@KAF
