We've been making pizza in a cast iron dutch oven for years whenever we go camping. There's nothing better than the smell of fresh pizza wafting throughout the entire campground! We like a fairly thick crust so I usually pre-bake the dough before putting all the toppings on so the dough isn't "doughy" in the middle. Part of the "doughy" problem might be because of the elevation. We're usually at 6,000 - 9,000 ft elevation. But it tastes great. If I knew about cast iron pizza back when we used to camp, we'd probably still own our pop-up. I'm sure your fellow campers are green with envy, not to mention the little woodland critters! ~ MaryJane
