Hi there, LauraLee! You can tent your loaf with foil towards the end of the bake if needed, but you don't have to keep the loaf covered from the start. If you're using a regular loaf pan, you'll end up with a rounded loaf rather than a square one but no worries, your French toast will still be delightful!
