Hi there, Judy! It definitely sounds like your cake is getting under-baked. We'd recommend lowering your oven temperature by 25°F, especially if the pan you're using is darker in color or glass. This will help the cake bake evenly so the center has time to bake through without the edges getting too dry. We hope this helps! Kindly, Morgan@KAF
