I really like this recipe, but my hamburger buns don't seem to brown up very much -- any thoughts on why this might be so?

Steve, did you brush them with butter? Bake them in the upper part of your oven? I'm assuming you didn't let the dough rise for hours and hours, which would deprive it of all its sugar, and thus its browning ability...
