cwc - you made me laugh. My grandmother used to have these hidden away in her cupboard, and they were 'our' treat. She always called them 'fly crackers' and told me they had smashed up flies in them. It was always a special joke between the two of us, and it was a bonus that other family members never cared for them much. Thank you for sharing this recipe! I can't wait to make it.
