These cookies were one of my all-time favorites. They were the only cookie that my mother and I could eat that my brothers didn't like. Not very sweet but oh so much flavor! If I remember correctly, it was with these cookies that my mom gave me my first adult cup of tea (more tea than milk!). I can almost close my eyes and taste them. Thank you so much for the memories -I'm going to check my cupboards and see if I have any currants on hand and bake these tonight. Joyce
