Its' 2021 and these still come to mind fairly regularly. I remember them from when I was a kid in the 1950s. At the time, there was another version as well although I don't know what company made them. The raisins were on top instead of in the middle. I was always torn about which I liked better. I still remember the day that I went into Stop & Shop, the local supermarket, reached for the raisins biscuits, but sadly they were no longer there.

I am going to try your version of the raisin paste between two layers of pie crust. Maybe it will revive my favorite cookie over the years.
