I was trying to remember the Sunshine Bakery product of my youth and a friend stumbled across your blog post and recipe. I tried it, it was great, tried it again, great again. So, I tried it with dried cherries: great. Tried it with dried apricots: great! I do like raisins the best though. These are great cookies and while this recipe isn't an exact replica of the original, my memory of the original isn't all that high fidelity at this point either so who cares, these are probably better than the original.
