Just made these and they came out very well. Was wondering why there is a photo of melted butter, the recipe says chilled. Also, did not have the sanding sugar for the tops so substituted turbinado and the results are quite sparkly and crunchy. Mona, if you're looking at the picture of a tablespoon of liquid being poured into the mixing bowl - the chilled butter is in the bowl, and that's orange juice I'm pouring over it. We've found OJ helps temper the sometimes strong flavor of whole wheat. Glad you enjoyed the cookies! PJH
