Hi Amy, if you'd like to make these cakes ahead of time, consider making the cake batter and the sauce and storing them separately. If you pour the sauce over the batter too far ahead of time, it will get absorbed into the cake and not have the final texture that makes pudding cakes so delightful. I hope this helps! Kye@KAF
