Wonderful recipe! This has been my St Patrick's Day staple for several years now. I do substitute 1 cup of white whole wheat flour with the 2 cups of all purpose flour, and I use one cup of dried cranberries in place of the raisins/currants. To quell the protests of my Irish friends, I have named this version New England Soda Bread. Fine - I just call it delicious!
