I made the starter tonight and after reading a couple of the other reviews and answers for this recipe, I’m starting to wonder if I measured the flour wrong and it condensed in the measuring cup. I used a spoon to scoop the flour out of the canister, filling up above the rim of the cup, then scraping the excess off the top with a flat edge spatula. Is this fine or do you suggest sifting the flour first? If it is too much, should I add a bit more water to balance it out?
