Actually, just caved in, who cares about currants anyway? Now have tray of cakes cooling.....lovely buttery smell filling the house. At least I put half the mix in the freezer for later!:) Save it for Tuesday - impress your friends with your knowledge of patron saint days and their signature foods! :) PJH
