No pearl sugar on the Belgian Waffles? Sure, bring it on! To each his own. I put pearl sugar or coarse sugar on my thin "sugar waffle" cookies - crisp, sweet waffles made in a regular (not Belgian) iron, regularly found being sold by street vendors in Belgium and the Netherlands... PJH
