I couldn’t believe my luck when I found a metal waffle iron at our local thrift shop yesterday. So, last night I put some yeast, flour and a little water into the oven with the light on to get it going and today turned that into this recipe. It was delicious except that the waffles weren’t very crisp. I wonder what I can do to change that for the next time.
BTW my very favourite topping is butter, lemon juice and icing sugar. Oh my, it was wonderful!
