I have for years been regretting not learning the Parker House roll recipe from my grandmother whose rolls were legendary in our family. I remember watching her make them as a little girl and your recipe seems very close. I made them with your recipe and was amazed at how close they were to what I remembered. However, I think hers were just a little bit sweeter. Could I add 1 or 2 more tablespoons of sugar without harming the recipe outcome just to see? PS This is the first time I have attempted this recipe and loved the use of the bread dough hook in my mixer, the quick instant yeast, and the simpler faster way to shape the rolls.
