Summer Savory is an Annual Herb, that self seeds rather well. The taste is much milder & is generally used as a salad herb, it lends it mild flavor to green beans. Savory is a Perennial Herb with a rather assertive flavor that can overpower easily. Good in sturdy stews with a a lot of flavor in the broth & meat. For Summer Savory If have green thumb it can be pot grown. It doesn't dry well. I would suggest thyme, especially lemon thyme, to replace the Savory. Use a small pinch first, can always add more but can't take it back. MA
