Hi Susan, we think it would be fine to freeze this type of pie before baking, but we'd recommend freezing the crumb topping separately, and adding it on right before baking. Because your pie may be a bit more delicate without a top crust, we wouldn't recommend transferring it out of the pan once frozen. We'd recommend baking a crumb topped pie straight from the freezer, although you may need to cover the pie loosely with foil for part of the bake.
