Is there anything I can use in place of Saffron? My Daughter has the Kirsten American Girl Doll, complete with St. Lucia dress/candle wreath. Naturally, she wants to make St. Lucia buns, but I am leery to spend the money for saffron, when the recipe will be made by a child. My daughter and I loved the catalogue cover!
