Perogie may be frozen easily. Place on baking paper on cookie sheets spaced apart so not touching. Freeze and then place in containers or freezer bags. This step allows the perogies to be placed together in bag or container without sticking. Traditional Ukrainian Perogies are not fried. Mixture inside includes many things, but my fave is potatoe aged white cheddar and dry cottage cheese with a bit of bacon, salt and pepper. Stuff, boil and serve with onion and kolbasa or bacon that has been fried with butter and pour over perogies. Top with sour cream and pepper.
