Hooray! Oh, I'm excited about the holiday posts to come! This recipe looks wonderful, and I'm definitely on board for a cookie/bar recipe that isn't drowning in butter or oil. Would you say a maple glaze is a good idea, or do these spices need the apple? Personally, I think maple will clash with the spices and the peel. But this isn't about me. Give it a try.
