Hi Could you add shortening to the buttercream frosting to make it more stable in heat? I've read you can do this with other types of buttercream but not sure about this recipe. If you were to add it how much would you reduce the butter by? Thanks! Shortening will certainly make the frosting a bit more heat stable. I would try replacing 1/3rd of the butter with shortening and see how it works for you.-Jon
