Ok. So I made these with homemade caramel. The caramel is not as thick as the block and in order for it to harden up like it shows in the picture, I had to place the pan in the freezer. The caramel still is not as thick as it shows in the picture at the end, it is a bit gooeyer, which is actually quite nice. I made a double batch and in one batch I broke up my kid's favorite candy bars and placed then atop the caramel before putting in the freezer, and then submerged in chocolate. My kids think I am a rock star now! These are wonderful! ROCK ON, ANNE! Thanks for sharing your results for the homemade caramel. Now, back to your limo and champagne. ~ MaryJane
