Oh those biscuits! I might have to try that just because. I'm making shortbread cookies from a recipe I found online, and encountered a problem when I mixed the flour into the creamed butter/sugar/vanilla: it NEVER turned into dough. It stubbornly stayed in a dry, sandy, pile. Reminded me a lot of pie dough before water is added. Coarse crumbs I think it's called? And I was supposed to have pliable dough. Gak! Turns out the website the recipe is on is having update issues or something, and it left out a stick of butter from the recipe. Go figure. So! I grabbed another stick, softened it, attacked it with my hand mixer, dumped it in the sandy crumbs, and mixed. Voíla! Dough! There're a few lumps that look suspiciously like butter, so perhaps kneading it a few times (like I wedge clay) will help even everything out.
