Now I don't feel so bad, I put together my pumpkin bread recipe in which I scribbled adjustments on the right to make 3 pans instead of 2, except for the last ingredient in which I read 3x's, and still didn't catch the alteration I made of 3 cups pumpkin over the 2, because I had it scribbled on the left side of the page(bad idea) not to be consistent. Put it in the oven and a good 5 min. later I kept thinking all along, I swear the batter didn't come up very high...I even rechecked the recipe 2-3 times to see if I for got something.. then I saw it ..that extra c. of pumpkin...Crap! should I or not. it was starting to rise on the sides. I whipped it out of the oven, poured it back into the bowl. added the 1 cup pumpkin, it has bits of drier film already from the sides of the pan from heating up..but what the hey, popped er back in the oven , waited a good 5 min then checked to see if it rose like before..whew..it turned out okay..if it hadn't I was going to blame it on my oven to get a new one..as it very old and acts up from time to time..note:eventually I will use that card...
