This sounds wonderful!!! Do you think fuji apples will work and what about apple cider in place of the boiled cider in the glaze?? I think fuji apples would work well. Apple cider wouldn't give as much flavor as the much more concentrated boiled cider. You might want to try frozen apple concentrate which you have thawed.
