Hi Paty, thanks for double checking. We're referring to weight when we talk about ounces, not fluid ounces, and one cup will weigh a different amount depending on what's in the cup. For example, one cup of confectioner's sugar weighs 4 oz, but one cup of granulated sugar weighs seven ounces.
