Can pie filling enhancer be used in place of the ClearJel? I think they are similar, but the enhancer already has sugar as well. Hi Jenn, Yes, I think you could use the pie filling enhancer to replace the sugar and Clear Jel. It does have a tough of citric acid in it, so it might change the flavor of the pie just a touch. Let us know how it goes if you give it a try. ~ MaryJane
