Janet, you might be able to find it at an orchard, where they sell cider. And yes, it's cider that's boiled down until it's thick, a thickness somewhere between honey and maple syrup. It's truly delicious... Though it won't be as good, you can substitute thawed frozen apple juice concentrate. Enjoy – PJH
