Months ago I made these and they were wonderful, and much appreciated at my yacht club Wednesday old folks lunches. I followed the recipe exactly; perfect. My question about freezing was answered above - so when tightly wrapped should they be refrigerated? I live alone and can't afford to give all of them away. Next time I will try the boiled cider addition - love that stuff, too -and probably add some dried black currants - have been wondering about orange zest, too, as I have some. Thanks for any comments. Oldone Hi Oldone, I'd say keep about 2 or 3 on the counter for the next couple of days, and then put the others in the freezer. If you put them in the fridge, they tend to go stale a bit faster. ~ MaryJane
