Yum, how about a ricotta/confec sugar mix with in season berries and topping of choice (caramel sauce?)(lemon curd?) using white cake mix? I wonder if angel food would work? It's light but sturdy. We fear baking the angel food cake in the hot dog pan will yield disatrous results. Remember angel food pans have high sides to allow for the expansion. Your flavor conbinations sound intriguing.
