I too was miffed when I realized that the important top for this pan needed to be improvised....and the only pan long enough was my largest turkey roasting pan. I added weight to it, greased the bottom & followed the directions to the letter, except substituted liquid milk for the water & dry milk called for in the recipe. OK, I am no longer miffed. I am in hot dog heaven, and my Massachusetts-born husband is totally impressed. KAF rocks both for the clear recipes (hurrah for the ounce measurement converter, which transformed my baking success from hit & miss to pretty darn good) and for the blog pics that are always reassuring & helpful. Yum!!!
