Made beautiful buns this morning using the KAF BISCOTTI pan. Pan is 15.5 by 5.5 by 2. perfect size. used 1.5 lbs of the brioche dough from the New Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day book. baked 22 minutes with prepared 13 by 9 sitting on top. 3 minutes without it. makes 8 perfect buns, which is even better than 10 for most hotdog packages have 7 or 8 (just leaves less to nimble on to "taste test"). Being that the hot dog bun pan is so specialized and you still have to alter it, I think that I'm not going to buy that pan although I was tempted before. IF they add a Pullman lid, I think I'll buy it but to have to use an additional pan when I already am using such a specialized pan doesn't make too much sense to me. and... the biscotti pan is ten bucks less!
