What's the equivalent if I start with dried chickpeas? I've found recently that the taste of chickpeas made from dried is much better than that of the canned ones. No idea, Adina - cook some up and find out, I guess. Since the recipe doesn't need to be precise as to the amount of chickpeas - just adjust the seasonings and liquid to the amount you use - you won't have to stress too much about cooking the exact "right" amount.
