It’s been a few years since this question was asked so it’s worth checking in to see if there is a real answer now. I’d like to bake bran muffins WITHOUT using any kind of processed bran cereal. I’d like to not add the additional sugar from them. I’d also like to avoid that factory packaging and processing, just from a sustainability standpoint. Do you have any recommendations on how to substitute actual, bran (be it from wheat or oats) in for the boxed breakfast cereal? Perhaps adjust liquid to dry ratios? Maybe some added sugar would be needed? Thank you
