We just finished eating this for my son's 2nd birthday and it was delicious! We loved the zebra stripe effect! Instead of oil, ours had melted butter, plus a bit of extra milk added to the chocolate batter to make it as runny as the yellow. We also topped it with rolled fondant, our first time trying that method. This was my 7 year old daughter's end-of-year homeschooling project for the unit she chose to do on cake baking and decorating, and it was a great project for her! Thanks for yet another awesome recipe! Thanks so much for sharing your melted butter results. Please tell your daughter that she earns extra points from me for trying fondant, even practiced bakers are intimidated by it! ~ MaryJane
