Don't mean to be dense here, but... 1. Exactly HOW would you do a 9 x 13 cake with this method? Would it be retangular "rings" instead of circles? 2. If you make a 2-layer, would you have to worry about lining them up at all? Thanks. Hi Anitra, You'd still pour the batter the same way, but it would eventually "straighten" out when it hit the edges of the pan. You'd still get the stripes effect. For the 2 layers, every piece you slice is a bit different in pattern, so each layer would be unique and you'd never be able to line them up. Just put a good thick layer of icing in the center of the cake and let each layer speak for itself. Hope this helps. ~ MaryJane
