Now that I've read this three times, I finally understand that it's not incorrect: "You can also use our mini popover pan; it'll make about 18 popovers from this recipe."

But it might be confusing. The recipe will make 18 mini popovers. The mini-popover pan has space for 12, e.g. the recipe will fill it one and a half times.
