i made this with dates and candied orange peels since that’s the dried fruit I had on hand… I didn’t want to open a new bag of fruitcake blend I had. I brewed a very strong cup of Irish Breakfast sweetened with honey, and a healthy glug of Jameson. No additional sugar. I used Odlums coarse Irish flour. I cannot say enough nice things about this cake. It is one of my favorite recipes on here.
