No frosting, no bright colors, no stuck on sugar decorations. Its a real adult dessert. Not sure I'd use the whiskey soak but it looks like the kind of cake we used to have with a hot whiskey on a cold night. This gets made this week as soon as I get the dried fruits. Happy St. Pats day to all. And I have to add... pistachio pound cake...pistachio paste...wow that sounds good.
