This looks scrumptious! I will definitely be making this next week for my husband's birthday dinner party, although I will have to forego the chocolate frosting in favor of a vanilla buttercream -- his annual request is for a "chocolate cake with white icing, not the fluffy kind but the creamy kind". Hmmm, that does leave me enough leeway to try a coconut buttercream frosting, though -- then I can decorate it with some toasted coconut and your chocolate pearls.
