We're sorry to hear about the loss of your mixer, Patricia. It sounds like there may have been too much flour in the dough, as it should have been a thick but still mixable consistency. We recommend measuring your flour using a scale or using the fluff and sprinkle method to ensure you're getting light cups of flour. You can always add additional liquid if your dough seems thicker than whats pictured here. Lastly, it's important to use a strong, high-quality mixer (can be handheld) for the best final product.
