Hi King Arthur,
I’ve made Walter Sands bread both in the bread machine and by hand manually. It is an excellent recipe. Loaves are large and easy to knead. Lately, I have been substituting Marburger gourmet buttermilk for the water. This formed a larger dense loaf which filled a 8x8x4 inch casserole pan after letting it rise overnight. Needless to say my wife hasn’t asked me to make bread so far this week.
