We're so sorry to hear that you had such a poor experience with this recipe, Jaclyn. We're accustomed to hearing pretty positive feedback about this one, and the hydration is fairly typical of a sandwich loaf. As the blog and the recipe itself both note, how much liquid you need will vary depending on the way you measure your flour, the time of year, etc. If you're interested in giving this (or another of our recipes) another go, we'd love to help you troubleshoot what might have gone wrong.
