"Gary, you’re right–a cup of water weighs roughly 226 grams" - This is simply wrong. A cup of water is 8 FLUID ounces, (1/16 gallon), and WEIGHS 8.35 ounces or 237gms, as Gary observed. So 3 cups by weight would be about 25 ounces - not 24, and as Gary rightly says that is about 710 gms. So forgetting the conversion error, how much water by weight should I use?
